Whether you have a few hours to help with a project, want to work at an event, or help plan an event, serve on a committee or join the Board of Directors, we welcome you!
We need lots of volunteers to help the foundation be a success — and make a difference for the students of Robbinsdale Area Schools! Any gift of time is much appreciated.
Consider volunteering your time and talents in the following areas
Events - We host special events throughout the year and are always looking for people to help with them. The Bird Bash is our annual gala event with dinner, silent and live auction. If you would like to join a Bird Bash sub-committee to help plan decor, food, games, silent auction, sponsorship, logistics, graphic design, promotion, let us know. We also need help acquiring items for the silent auction. We would also welcome help the day of the Bird Bash (Saturday, March 2, 2024).
Communications/Marketing - The communications committee helps increase our visibility in the school district and in the larger community. Would you like to help us promote the work of the foundation by helping with messaging, social media and more? If you have experience with electronic newsletters, digital media, design, InDesign or other publishing tools and want to make a difference, please fill out the form below!
Robbinsdale Areas Schools Alumni Connection - The alumni committee helps to connect the alumni of the following schools (Armstrong, Cooper, and Robbinsdale High Schools) with the Foundation and the school district. Grant writing - If you have experience writing grants, the foundation would like help identifying and writing grants to support the foundation’s work; grant money will allow us to give more money to the school district. A volunteer grant writer will work with the executive director and/or board members.
Clerical/office - the foundation is a small organization and we would love to have help with clerical tasks, electronic files, mailings and more.
Volunteer Coordinator - do you love working with volunteers? we need someone to help us recruit and coordinate volunteers for projects and events.

We value people who have time to give! In addition to attending monthly board meetings, we ask board members to join one of our committees - and to help with our events.
Board member skills we are looking for:

business experience
We are also looking for people to join the Seven Dreams’ Alumni Committee, as either a Board member or a volunteer, so that we can build closer relationships with our RAS alumni.
