What is the Bird Bash?

The Bird Bash gala is an annual fundraiser supporting the Seven Dreams Education Foundation, to benefit students of the Robbinsdale Area Schools.

Put on your party attire and enjoy a served dinner, entertainment, live and silent auction, and fun! There will be games and live music during the reception - and the “Heads and Tails” played during the program. Hundreds of members of our community come together to celebrate, and fund, our school district! The first Bird Bash was in 2014. In recent years we’ve been able to fund large district-wide initiatives that cost $50,000 or more.

From 2014-2024, we raised over $625,000 from the proceeds of the Bird Bash for initiatives in our school district—read about them below and here!

What Does the Bird Bash Fund?

Special Appeal

At the Bird Bash, after a live auction (for big ticket items like concerts, trips and fun experiences), the evening culminates in an important “giving moment” where we ask our generous supporters to pledge a specific amount of money for a district-wide initiative by raising bid cards. We show a video describing the initiative and then the fun begins. A professional auctioneer livens up the crowd and people start raising their bid numbers to make their donation.
